Education: Student version

Students who are registered full time at a recognized Academic institution and taking a Design oriented program are eligible for a FREE version of Vectorworks Designer with Renderworks. 

Students may request Vectorworks version 2010 or 2011.  Please check with your Instructor to see which version is more appropriate.  You are permitted to  upgrade from older versions during the school year, if you are still enrolled in a recognized educational program.

The Free Educational Student version is time-stamped and will work for a year after you install, then it will no longer launch.  If you continue to be a student you can either request an extension or a newer version of the software.

After installing, you will need to connect your computer to the Internet.  Vectorworks requires a live internet connection to activate.

The Free Student Educational version is not transferable to another computer or another person.

Your single license can be installed on either a Mac or Windows computer – you may run it on only one computer at a time, although you may have it installed on two computers (if you are the sole user).

The Vectorworks manuals install on your computer in the form of searchable Adobe Air files.  If you require additional training, please check out our tutorials.

The Educational version for Students is Vectorworks Designer with Renderworks.  Vectorworks Designer consists of Vectorworks Fundamentals plus Architect, Landmark, Spotlight, and Machine Design.

Students must complete the Student Order Form. Proof of eligibility is required.

The Educational version of Vectorworks is identical to the business version, and writes files in a file format that the business version can read. Student versions are not to be used for business purposes, and students are required to sign an affidavit agreeing to this limitation.

WARNING - Any document created with the Free Student Educational version will print with a Educational Version "watermark" at the top and bottom of each page.  This watermark travels with the file, and affects any document that has been opened and saved with the student version.
